Second in a series of ’Mask’ themed paintings, Maskulyn is a painting that depicts a strong male figure. It fuses his masculine look with the seemingly more feminine act of crying. He reaches up to stop his tears from falling but they stream down his eyes and hands despite his attempts. His mask represents how at times we view or place each other in only masculine or feminine roles. However regardless of the temporary mask or masks we wear, expressing who we are and what we feel brings forth both feminine and masculine traits.
